Highlights of Presentation and Discussion Items


The following items were presented to the Board:
Finance Report: As of May 31, 2018 the Board learned the system is at 90.96 percent for the budget year. The Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax revenues for April 2018 were up 2.12 percent from 2017 collections and down 3.17 percent from last month. A financial statement, investment reports, and bond summaries were also shared, as well as a detailed capital projects analysis. 
Foundation Update- An update on the Educational Foundation was presented by Hannah Samples and the Foundation Governing Committee comprised of Brad Collins, Brian Richey, Tina Gable, Donna Wade and Janet Otwell.  This update included strategic planning, focus, the board structure, fundraising and communications. Click here for the presentation.

Action Items
The following item was approved:

Final Budget Approval of FY 2019 Budget: The Board approved by unanimous vote the FY 2019 budget.

Adopt Tentative Millage Rate: The Board approved by unanimous vote the tentative FY 19 M&O millage rate of 17.3 and the tentative Debt Service of 2.418.
